They did it by winning a blowout. They did it with a dramatic comeback. They did it by squeaking out a close one on the road against a former Cy Young winner. The Orioles faced three Cy Young winners in three games and they won all three games against the Detroit Tigers. They won at home. They won on the road. They won the American League Division Series to advance to the ALCS for the first time since 1997.
All that's left now is to look ahead to the next opponent. There will be a next opponent. There will be at least two more home games at Camden Yards before baseball is over for the year. The Orioles are eight wins shy of winning the World Series. They're also four losses away from going home. But they're in the next round for the first time since I was 13. That is awesome. Tonight, everything is awesome. This is Birdland.
Max Scherzer, Justin Verlander, and David Price ain't nothing. Baltimore has Orioles Magic. For this series, that's all we needed.
