If you haven't noticed by now, the Orioles would really like to entice you to buy season tickets for next year. Several times now, the "final deadline" to put down a deposit for 2015 season tickets and still get a guaranteed chance at ALCS and/or World Series tickets has come and gone and some new scheme has sprouted up in its place. So it is again on Tuesday afternoon as the Orioles unveiled their latest perk to try to lure people into putting down deposits for next year.
This time, the deadline to act is Wednesday, October 8 at 5pm. This is absolutely the last chance until they come up with another chance, which might happen if the Orioles make it into the World Series. This is the new sales pitch.
Place a deposit for a 20- or 40-game season ticket plan for next year (plans that previously did not exist) and you are guaranteed tickets to either Game 1 or 2 of both the ALCS and a potential World Series. The 29-game plans, which are still around, guarantee tickets to either Game 1 or 2 and Game 6 or 7 of both the ALCS and a potential World Series.
New 40-game plans guarantee access to both Games 1 and 2 of the ALCS and a possible World Series, as well as Game 6 or 7 of those series. Those bold, deep-pocketed souls willing to plunk down a deposit of $1,000 per seat for an 81-game plan for next year are guaranteed tickets to every remaining postseason game this year.
Those who buy a 20-game plan are required to put down a $375/seat deposit to qualify for the postseason tickets. This gets you one guaranteed ALCS game and a World Series game. For 29-game plans it's $500/seat, and for the new 40-game plans, it's $750/seat to get in the postseason guarantee. 29-game plans have two guaranteed ALCS games (if the series goes seven games) and two World Series games (same). The 40-game plans have three guaranteed ALCS games (if the series goes seven games) and three World Series games (same).
There is no longer a chance to put down a deposit for a 13-game plan for next year and get postseason tickets for this year.
