Cruz scores run in Baltimore debut, O's top Jays - CapitalGazette.com: Sports
"Chris Davis hit a two-run double, scoring Nelson Cruz in his Orioles debut in Baltimore’s 9-7 win over to the Toronto Blue Jays on Saturday." I could grow to love seeing Nelson Cruz bat in front of Chris Davis, and rather quickly at that.

Rest of AL East will have to deal with the Orioles - The Boston Globe
The Baltimore Orioles can win. Deal with it.

Orioles fans can breathe easier after late signings - NY Daily News
It was all part of Dan Duquette's nefarious plan all along, Yankees fan! Ha!

"Numerous prominent Orioles and coaches had a new addition to their uniforms for Saturday's home opener: gray wristbands with the initials "MB" scrawled in black marker, a touching tribute in honor of the passing of public relation director Monica Barlow."

School of Roch: Quick update on Urrutia
Henry Urrutia's shoulder doesn't feel right. He said it's probably from not stretching or getting warmed up. To quote the great Matt Wieters, "That was .... stupid."

New York Yankees general manager Brian Cashman slights Baltimore Orioles' 2012 breakthrough - Baltimore Sun
Brian Casman dissed the O's a bit, calling their 2012 playoff berth an "anomoly." HBGM responded. "The last time I checked," Duquette said, "the team that gets into the playoffs is based on wins and losses." Dan Duqette is making me love him more and more this past month. And Buck Showalter got in a few digs at the Yankees as well.

It's a Happy Birthday to Bud Norris! You can also Happy Birthday to former Orioles Jay Gibbons, Leo Gomez, Joe Taylor and Cal Abrams.

On this date in Orioles' history, not a thing happened.

There's an O's game today! OK, it's one of those road Spring Training games where the lineup has, like, three guys who MIGHT make the team, but it's on MLB Network, so, hey, O's baseball on TV!. The O's play the Red Sox at 1:05.

The man of my dreams has almost faded now. The one I have created in my mind. The sort of man each woman dreams of, in the deepest and most secret reaches of her heart. I can almost see him now before me. What would I say to him if he were really here? "Forgive me. I have never known this feeling. I have lived without it all my life. Is it any wonder, then, I failed to recognise you? You, who brought it to me for the first time. Is there any way that I can tell you how my life has changed? Any way at all to let you know what sweetness you have given me? There is so much to say. I cannot find the words. Except for these: "Open Thread."
