If there's silver lining to yesterday's rainout, it's that there was an extra day for the plague currently working its way through the clubhouse to get through people's systems. Adam Jones, for instance, was not in last night's lineup, but here he is this afternoon. Hopefully that means he's actually better.
A doubleheader for today was mooted at one time, but the Rays objected to the arrangement. I guess in April you can't just tell them tough luck and schedule it anyway. There was some speculation that they might try to play the game on June 26, a mutual off day for the teams before a June 27-29 series at Camden Yards. This would give the Orioles 24 straight days with games headed into the All-Star Break. Yikes.
Another consequence of the rainout is that Chris Tillman is being knocked off his normal rest in order to accommodate Miguel Gonzalez starting on close to normal rest, which, based on performance so far, seems like it may be something of a poor strategic decision.
Anyway, here's some day baseball. It snowed last night. Life is weird.
