Game 18: Orioles (8-9) @ Red Sox (9-10), 11:05

The Orioles and the Red Sox are back in action Monday morning. That's just weird to say. Here's hoping it goes better than Sunday night.

Jim McIsaac

There's something that just ain't right about an 11am baseball game. Sure, they do them in the minors with some regularity, but that's the minors. And they probably don't play four-hour games on Sunday night before they do 11am games on Monday morning, either.

Being as we've all been at this Orioles fan thing for a while, I think we all know what to expect after a loss like we experienced last night. The wrong end of a complete game shutout, the first two losses of what will turn out to be a six game losing streak. It can end no other way, because that's what happens to the Orioles. Or at least, that's what used to happen, and occasionally happens again. Even in 2012, there were some bad losses mixed in with all of the beautiful, unlikely wins.

The outfield has both David Lough and Nelson Cruz. Nick Markakis is the designated hitter. Matt Wieters is getting the day off, though he certainly deserves one. J.J. Hardy remains out after leaving last night's game early with a hamstring strain. This is the forfeit lineup. It doesn't get more forfeit-y than 11am. Here goes nothing.
