Nelson Cruz was the hero of Game 1. His timely home run put the Orioles up for good. Now that the game has just finished, let's put a camera on that man and bask in the glory!

PROUD PAPA BUCK

Ryan Flaherty got his first hit and Buck seems happy about it. He allows himself to smile while joking around with Wieters a bit. Then he turns back into Mr. Serious Manager, who must always lean against the railing and be generally stoic.

I do like to capture every single moment of out-of-character Buck emotion that I can find. Between these GIFs and that one time I pretty much accosted him to shake his hand, when he clearly wanted to just keep on walking, I wonder if Buck perceives me as a mildly antagonistic presence in his life. I'm sure he thinks about it all the time.

LOMBARDOZZI TO DAVIS

I know around here a jump throw is considered an obnoxious circus trick and signature move of poor defensive players. But this one, thrown from Steve Lombardozzi to Chris Davis, worked and may have actually been necessary.

TILLMAN: "[EFF] YEAH"

Matt Wieters just hit a home run to make the score 3-1 Orioles, against the Tigers. You'd like to think that Chris Tillman loves the challenge of facing Miguel Cabrera in the 9th inning with only a one run lead. Maybe he does. But he still wants more runs. Anybody would.
