Game 36: Tigers (21-12) @ Orioles (20-15)

It's game one of the series against Detroit. The O's will face Tigers starter Rick Porcello. Bud Norris takes the mound for the Orioles.

The winning streak may be over, but the Orioles have still won five of their last six and eight of their last eleven. That will get you places other than last. Of course, those wins all came against teams below the .500 mark, so division-leading Detroit is a much tougher challenge to tackle.

For some more thoughts on tonight's game, check out my game preview.

The weather is starting to heat up in Baltimore. Will that mean more home run balls flying into the Camden Yards stands? We could see some of that tonight with homer-prone Bud Norris on the mound, although his biggest probem is lefties and the Tigers are only sending out three of those. Then again, when you've got righties like Miguel Cabrera, who needs lefties to do damage, anyway?
