The Orioles have been trying to give away first place in the division all week, but the other teams chasing them just haven't seized the opportunity. That will change tonight as they try to stave off their fifth straight loss, which they won't do, because Yordano Ventura is amazing, and because Wei-Yin Chen, who was pushed back a day to get a favorable matchup against a lineup that struggles against lefties, will probably suck, making it all pointless. That's the way life works.
For some more thoughts on tonight's lineups and starters, check out my preview. And make sure not to miss Stacey's series preview either.
The good news is that they can't fall below .500 until after they've lost the next three games, so at least we have a couple more days to enjoy non-losing baseball.
