The Central division has been the death of the Orioles so far this year, and here they go welcoming another opponent from there to Baltimore for the next four games. It's the Indians this time, who just played an extra-innings marathon against the Tigers yesterday, and accordingly they have to use ground ball wizard Justin Masterson on short rest. That seems to be in the Orioles favor.
The O's are only two games over .500, but at the same time, they started play today just a half-game behind the two division leaders. That could be a full game by the time tonight's game starts, as the Blue Jays were pasting the Red Sox early in their game, but still, as bad as things have looked at times this season, like yesterday, they're in the hunt. There are problems they'll have to overcome to stay in the picture, but that's true of everyone they're competing with as well.
For some more on tonight's matchup, check out my game preview from earlier this afternoon.
