It's not very fun to be an Orioles fan lately. Yet, for all that, they are 14-14 in May. Is this what it's like to root for a .500 team? It almost feels like they'll be lucky to hold on at .500 at this point. You expect so much better than this, at least with this lot of people. Yet they can't get all cylinders to fire at one time. Pitching is erratic, so are most of the hitters. They've lost three straight and will try to stop there from being a fourth tonight.
The lineup has a slightly different look tonight, with the struggling Manny Machado remaining lower in the order, and the homerless J.J. Hardy staying down as well. The hottest hitters are at the top; the best hitters are at the top. This is how you should do it. Hopefully Miguel Gonzalez isn't so bad that it doesn't matter who bats where. Sadly, this has been happening with many starters in many games recently.
Oh, and it's Brett Oberholtzer pitching for the Astros. Prepare for oblivion. It awaits.
