LOUGH'S LEAPING CATCH
This was from the end of last week. I'm a bit too lazy to go into a video editing program and smooth out the motion, so what you get is Lough apparently gaining speed in midair like some kinda superhero.
PEARCE DOUBLE PLAY
Yes, and Hardy and Flaherty too.
WIETERS WALK-OFF
Matt Wieters went waaay upstairs to get this one. Those following in the game thread would have been annoyed with a not-so-good result here. But no! Wieters is on fire these days and can do no wrong. That right there goes down as a heroic, game-winning blast, not some cheapie around the pole.
CRUZ AND SCHOOP CELEBRATION
I think that this gesture means drawing two pistols and firing them. I don't know what else it would be. You may have noticed this as a part of the Nelson Cruz home run celebration since his Rangers days or even before. It looks like Manny Machado subtly mimics it at the end of this GIF, as well.
MANNY NODS
Pretty much as described in the title, eh?
PEARCE: "YES"
Another in a series of Orioles players with affirmative responses.
CARTWHEELIN' STEVE PEARCE
Heh. Nice recovery from the the cartwheel and back to business. Hand on the bag? Yes? No? Tap on the behind just in case.
Here's another angle so you can see it's a pretty nice catch and that his little gymnastics were probably necessary to keep from landing right on Dozier.
That's it for this week. I actually saved one or two for next week because there were so dang many and you never know when you'll hit a GIF drought!
