Game 31: Orioles (16-14) @ Rays (15-18), 7:10

The Orioles look to guarantee the series win against the Rays with a victory on Wednesday night. Bud Norris starts for the Orioles, with Cesar Ramos starting for the Rays. Caleb Joseph will be making his major league debut batting ninth for the O's.

The Caleb Joseph era has finally begun. With Matt Wieters needing to be taking some time off from catching for an unspecified length of time as he deals with his elbow problem, the Orioles needed a second catcher, and Joseph's number came up at last. He's toiled in the minors for seven seasons now. He is batting ninth against Cesar Ramos. Good luck, Caleb.

The Orioles stranded an army on the bases on Tuesday night. Getting on base is good. Timely hitting once men are on base is even better. Maybe they can go ahead early, keep on scoring, and keep us far away from Tommy Hunter range. With a win, they're guaranteed to at least have a share of the AL East lead by night's end.
