Game 78: Rays (32-48) @ Orioles (41-36), 1:05pm

It is the opening game of a four-game series and the day part of a day-night doubleheader. Kevin Gausman is back for the day to start this first game. The Rays are in last place. You know what to do, Orioles.

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

The worst team in baseball is in Baltimore for a four game series. This is not a drill. The Rays have the worst record of any MLB team and the Orioles get them four times in a row. They won't even have Ubaldo Jimenez pitching in the series. The time to do some damage is now. They'll either damage the Rays or the Orioles' own position in the division, but either way, damage will be done.

Friday afternoon games are weird. Friday afternoon games with a Friday night game still to come are weirder. It is a split doubleheader. They will play the game, clear the stadium, then play the second game at a specific time. Kevin Gausman, called up for today just to be the 26th man allowed during a pre-scheduled doubleheader, will be starting this afternoon game opposite Alex Colome. Do this dang thing, fellas.
