As he continues to pace the Majors in a number of offensive categories, the Orioles' Nelson Cruz was named the American League Player of the Week on Monday.

Buck expects him to play in the Rangers series, so that's comforting. Now let's see how he swings the bat.

School of Roch: Orioles place Santana on disabled list
It'll be interesting to see how Johan is used should he make it up to Baltimore. The O's do play of string of 18 games in 17 days leading into the All Star Break. Could be a perfect opportunity to utilize Johan as a means of getting some of the other starters some extra rest.

He hit 46 HRs in 1961 and led the league with 141 RBI while producing 6.9 bWAR. The following season he led the league with 16 Intentional Walks.
