The Orioles provided some thunder with the bats last night, which helped work around two home runs from Adrian Beltre and a not-so-great start from Bud Norris. Tonight, Chris Tillman takes the hill, hoping to push the team's win streak to five games and sweep the series against Texas in the process.
Tillman's hoped-for breakout year is not going as planned. His strikeout rate is down signifigantly while his walk rate is also up from last year. The result is a dismal xFIP of 4.57, 18% above league average. His oppenent Colby Lewis, who missed all of last year to Tommy John surgery, has not been much better. His xFIP is 4.37.
