There's not much better than a packed Camden Yards on a Saturday night as the Orioles win a game. Maybe they could go ahead and roll over those good feelings into this Sunday afternoon game. But probably not, though, because the Orioles don't win day games.
Add to their general malaise in the afternoon sun the fact that Scott Kazmir is starting for the Athletics. He is pitching great this year, or at least getting great results. Why can't the Orioles ever resurrect a pitcher's career? Sure, they don't have the O.co Coliseum as a home park, but Kazmir still has a 3.11 ERA on the road.
Oh, and did I mention that Ubaldo Jimenez gets the start against the most patient team in the major leagues? That is a thing that is happening. Yikes.
Speaking of good news, Tommy Hunter is back. Wait, what?
