Bud Norris was tasked with getting some work in over the All-Star festivus break so he chucked the ball around 99 times over 4.1 innings. He K'd 7 (which is nice), hit a batter (which is typical), and walked 5 (which is un-good) leading to 3 ERs. Jason Gurka inherited one of Bud's runners and allowed him to score, but otherwise tossed a perfect 1.2 innings which included 3 Ks. Mychal Givens was touched up for 3 hits, 2 walks, and 2 ERs in his inning of work.
The offense was held to just 3 hits on the day, with Christian Walker and Michael Ohlman generating 2 of those. Ohlman had a tough day behind the dish, allowing the Flying Squirrels 5 stolen bases in 5 attempts.
Frederick, Aberdeen, and the GCL O's were all washed out.
