Game 107: Angels (63-43) @ Orioles (60-46), 7:05 p.m. ET

Calm down from all of the trade deadline fun with the Orioles going for a sweep. Bud Norris is on the mound for the Birds. He will be opposed by Tyler Skaggs.

Mitchell Layton

This was quite literally like Christmas morning for baseball fans. We went to bed with promises of big name trades and awoke to Jon Lester being sent to the Oakland Athletics for Yoenis Cespedes. Oh my goodness. Everyone knows to not open the biggest present first. That is a rookie mistake.

The next few things to emerge were minor. Sam Fuld is headed to Oakland as well. He is similar to getting gift cards. Ok, cool. Ya got me something but it's not as fun as what I imagined. Useful nonetheless. Everyone can use a good defensive outfielder off the bench.

Then there were the underwear and socks of the day. Chris Denorfia? Gerardo Parra? Yeah, they are major league players but I probably could have gotten the same thing somewhere else. Thanks, I guess.

Oh but things would get juicy from there. Very juicy.

Andrew Miller to Baltimore. Stephen Drew to New York. Asdrubal Cabrera to Washington. Wow! Those are pretty big names all going to teams with a chance at the postseason.

And then, Mom motioned to Dad to go get something.

"What is it, guys? Come on! Tell me! No way. No it is not!!"

Then, Dad whipped out the video game system you wanted since March out of the coat closet! David Price is going to Detroit! Oh my word.

Things are getting hot in here. I need an Orioles win and sweep to cool me down. Go do this thing, Birds.
