SB Nation is excited to announce a new partnership with the daily fantasy league site FanDuel, which features daily $2 tournaments with a guaranteed $18,000 prize pool and $2,000 to the winner, among a host of other types of contests for the interested player.

Here is how to play:

You get a budget of $35,000 imaginary dollars to pick nine players - pitcher, catcher, first base, second base, third base, shortstop, and three outfielders. You get points when your players do good stuff and you lose a small amount of points when they don't do good stuff, and you only have to worry about one day at a time - there's no need to worry about the rest of the season.

Contest rules. Must be 18+ years of age, resident of US or Canada, but those in Arizona, Iowa, Louisiana, Montana, and Washington are not eligible to play for real money. Sorry!

You can test your mettle against thousands of others in today's contest, which can be found here. The winner gets $2,000, but the contest pays out to people as low as 1,050th place - a $6 prize for savvy selections.

Disclosure: As part of the partnership, we have received a small amount of money as a freeroll to try out FanDuel for ourselves. Any opinion expressed in this post does not necessarily represent the opinion of FanDuel.

Does this sound like your kind of thing? It's a bit like buying a Powerball ticket, only you probably have better odds of winning some money, as long as you make good picks. Put on your thinking caps. You have until 7:05 to get in on tonight's action.
