Game 119: Yankees (61-57) @ Orioles (68-50), 7:05

New, comments

The series has shrunk to two games thanks to rain, so the Orioles are going for the sweep against the Yankees on Wednesday night. Chris Tillman starts for the O's. Michael Pineda returns from the DL to start for New York.

I wouldn't want to tar the reputation of a player based on one incident, but it's entirely possible that tonight's Yankees starter will pine for the days before he was in the headlines for his suspension for having a foreign substance on the field of play. After being suspended for that, Pineda then hurt himself while pitching in a rehab game. Now he's back in MLB and he surely has something to prove. He'll face a depleted Orioles lineup with a weird defensive alignment in the process.

Well, here goes nothing.

The last day that the Orioles were not in first place was July 3. Since pulling into a tie for first place in the AL East, they have a record of 22-11. Is that good or something?
