I wouldn't want to tar the reputation of a player based on one incident, but it's entirely possible that tonight's Yankees starter will pine for the days before he was in the headlines for his suspension for having a foreign substance on the field of play. After being suspended for that, Pineda then hurt himself while pitching in a rehab game. Now he's back in MLB and he surely has something to prove. He'll face a depleted Orioles lineup with a weird defensive alignment in the process.
Well, here goes nothing.
The last day that the Orioles were not in first place was July 3. Since pulling into a tie for first place in the AL East, they have a record of 22-11. Is that good or something?
