On this date in 1961, Milt Pappas puts up what has to be one of the highest single game WPAs (0.711) in history as he shuts out the Twins from the mound and blasts two home runs from the plate in a 3-0 Orioles victory. Mike Cuellar won his 20th game of the season today in 1970. In 1973 the O's won their 14th consecutive game, their longest single regular season winning streak in club history. Entering play on this date in 2012, the O's record stood at 69-57. In 1997 they were 83-45.
