Orioles team up with American Heart Association to offer 50% off tickets

A $10 donation to the American Heart Association will get you 50% off tickets for the September 2-4 games vs the Reds and the September 15-17 games vs the Blue Jays

Joy R. Absalon-USA TODAY Sports

The Orioles have announced a partnership with the American Heart Association (AHA) to offer tickets at 50% off with a $10 donation to the AHA. These tickets can be purchased for the series against the Reds on September 2-4 or against the Blue Jays on September 15-17.

These aren't quite the deal that the throwback pricing we've seen in the past is, but it's a good cause that will hopefully raise money for the AHA while getting you tickets to the game and putting more fans in the seats than we saw this week.

The donation is $10 per ticket, so your total cost would be (Ticket Price/2) + 10. Here's a chart to see how it breaks down (doesn't include processing fees for online ordering). Upper box seats outside the baselines, all upper reserve, lower reserve outside the baselines, and Eutaw Street Reserve won't save you any money (ranging from breaking even to $5 more). But if you love those seats and want to donate, $10 of your ticket price will go to the AHA.

The Jays game is a lower price tier, and you can add section 204-210 and 262-270 as the sections where you'll at best break even.

It's good to see the Orioles discounting tickets for weekday games now that school is back in, and I certainly don't mind throwing a few bucks to charity for the option. The discount will work best if you want to sit in the expensive seats (I did a search on Field Box and there are seats available in those sections), and if you were planning on going to any of these games anyway, this is a great option to take.
