Monday Bird Droppings

New, comments
Greg Fiume

The Orioles completed their series against Seattle and the AL West with a 1-0 victory. The Birds went 5-2 against the Mariners and 21-12 against the AL West. No one outside the West has more divisional wins than the Orioles (21, four better than Detroit's 17). The O's will travel to Toronto on Tuesday to try and pad their divisional lead, but not before a brief trip to DC to finish their season series against the Nats.

As an aside, I wanted to mention that I went to pick up a pizza after yesterday's game. I was wearing an Adam Jones tee and a Friday O's cap and was greeted with shouts of "Let's go O's!" three times on the street between my car, the pizza place and back in the Cleveland Park neighborhood of DC. Warmed my cold, cold heart.
