Oh no. It's a day game where the Orioles are going for the sweep against a last place team who is starting a crappy starting pitcher. The Red Sox starter is Brandon Workman. Boston has lost every game that Workman has started from June onwards, except for one... a June 15 game where he blanked the Orioles for 6.2 innings. That is Workman's only start all year where he hasn't allowed a run. His ERA is nearly 5.
As a team, the Sox have scored the fewest runs of any American League club. It's almost like they've folded up the tents and packed it in. The way they've played the last two nights makes it look like they've just laid down and given up. The Orioles aren't exactly in danger of losing their ten game lead, but it'd be way more fun if that magic number was knocked down to 8 this afternoon, wouldn't it?
