It's a warm and sticky night here in Baltimore. There is no batting practice because the tarp is on the field in fear of the rain that I encountered on my way to the stadium. It's not a promising sign for on-time baseball, but as of this writing there's just shy of 90 minutes to first pitch, so a lot of things can happen.
A lot of things can happen in tonight's baseball game as well. Maybe some of them will be good. Does this look like a lineup that is going to do good things against a pitcher like Mat Latos? Well, none of them seem to, and yet they have managed to win some games with offense. It's yet to stop being a surprise.
If the Orioles were to win the game tonight, not only would they lower their magic number for clinching the division, they'd also have recorded their 80th win, which is something they didn't do at all from 1998-2011.
