Game 155: Red Sox (67-88) @ Orioles (93-61), 1:35

It's the final regular season home game of the year in Baltimore. If the Orioles beat the Red Sox, they'll have more wins than the magical 2012 season. Miguel Gonzalez starts for the O's against Joe Kelly of Boston.

It's impossible to stress just how much that a team who is playing Daniel Nava at first base has quit on the season. That doesn't mean the Orioles are guaranteed to beat the Red Sox today, of course. They have their struggles in Sunday day games, and this particular game doesn't matter all that much. Sure, there's the outside chance of moving their seeding around, or locking in their #2 seed, but does it really matter?

One thing that is certain is that the next Orioles win will lock this season in as the second-best regular season in my 30 years of being alive. They've now equaled the 2012 win total and only the 1997 season has exceeded this one. That's pretty awesome.

Still no Nick Markakis in the lineup today. We're also Steve Pearce-less for the second straight day. Time to hit the panic button on those guys yet? Well, there's still a week for everyone to get healthy. Hopefully that's enough time.
