On this day in 1969 the Orioles lost the World Series in game 5 to the Miracle Mets. Jerks.  The O's fared better in the 1971 Fall Classic as they walked it off against the Pirates. The Orioles completed their five game World Series rout of the Phillies on this day in 1983, tying Rick Dempsey to the franchise for eternity.
