On this day in 2005, former outfielder Pat Kelly passed away. Perhaps best known to O's historians for the "Walk with the bases loaded" story, Kelly was a former All Star and one of the many fine platoon players employed in the Earl Weaver era. It was a year ago today that the O's opened their playoff 2014 run with a 12-3 win over the Tigers in the ALDS thanks in part to an epic Tigers bullpen meltdown.
