It's the birthday of Denny Bautista. You may recall Bautista as a sort of poor man's Daniel Cabrera. You may pity that poor man. Former hitting coach Jim Presley celebrates a birthday today, too, as would franchise great Vern Stephens. One of the many great shortstops to don the black and orange (and brown), Stephens was felled by a heart attack before the age of 50.
