Not a terribly significant day in Orioles history, but as a baseball fan, it's hard to believe it's been 30 years since the famous Don Denkinger call in the 1985 World Series.

It's the birthday of former manager Mike Hargrove. I really disliked the era of teams he coached, but looking back at the talent he had to work with, it's sort of hard to not a feel a bit of sympathy. Wayne Garland also has a birthday today. Garland achieved the rare feat of winning 20 games and losing 19 in back to back seasons. Fortunately, the 19 loss season came in service of the Indians.
