Orioles spring training game thread: vs. Pirates, 1:05

The Orioles already played a closed-to-the-public B game against the Pirates on Sunday. Now it's time for the A game too, which will be on MLB Network as well as 105.7 FM in Baltimore.

Today's game will be on both MLB Network and 105.7 FM in Baltimore. Whether it's a good thing that you'll be able to watch or listen remains to be seen as you've probably noticed the O's spring results, thus far, are less than stellar. But it's okay because it's only the Ides of March (beware!) and Opening Day is still three weeks and a day away. How much can things get better in three weeks and a day? Let's hope the Orioles find out.

In a departure from the usual spring policy, there are many regulars in today's lineup. The Pirates spring facility is the shortest road trip that the team will take the whole of March, so there's no long bus ride to spare the veterans and most of them made the trip.

There are supposedly going to be cuts made after the game, although that's also what was said yesterday and that didn't happen, so maybe they will change their minds again.

Because it's spring, there is a designated hitter in the Orioles lineup but not in the Pirates lineup. Spring training is weird.
