Orioles spring training game thread: vs. Twins, 1:05pm

The Orioles hitters who weren't a part of yesterday's blowout will be looking to get in on the action against the Twins on Tuesday afternoon. The game will be televised on MASN.

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

Some Orioles bats woke up against the Phillies yesterday. Spring training being what it is, it'll be mostly a different set of bats who are facing Phil Hughes and the rest of the Twins today. Will any of that carry over? Of course not. Each game is an independent event, not particularly influenced by the others.

This game will be aired on MASN, if that does you any good. If you're stuck at work, sorry. The tandem of Jim Hunter and Jim Palmer will have the call. Maybe it'll be a good one to watch, as the last couple that were on MASN have not been, particularly. I think they will be wearing green hats today.

This is another lineup that looks a lot like one we'll see in the regular season. It is in fact the Grapefruit League catching debut of Matt Wieters. He's appeared in some back field games with special rules that there would be no attempting to steal on him. Now he's being thrown in a major league game with no special rules. Will the Twins be testing his arm early and often, and if they do, will he pass?
