Orioles spring training game thread: at Tigers, 1:05

A team of mostly Orioles reserves competing for the fringes of the roster hits the road for Tigers camp on Thursday afternoon.

Spring training still rolls on, and remember, the most important thing is that nobody gets hurt. The next most important thing is to at least sort of start looking like you're prepared for the regular season.

Yesterday, in the first inning at least, Manny Machado didn't look so good. He's back in action today, so he can redeem himself. So, too, can Delmon Young, who spent yesterday in right field and allowed two triples in his direction. I have higher hopes of Manny turning around and looking good in the field than Delmon, as I suspect you do as well.

Other than those two guys, this lineup isn't looking particularly MLBish, even considering players who might be on the regular season bench. Maybe all of the positive press for Nolan Reimold is worth something. Maybe Ryan Lavarnway can distinguish himself towards being Caleb Joseph's backup for like the four days until Matt Wieters will supposedly be ready to play.

This game will be aired on MLB Network, although it's going to be Tigers announcers. That's better than no TV at all, probably.
