Orioles spring training game 3 thread: at Rays, 1:05

There are two Orioles games for the price of one today, although they are going to take place in different stadiums and feature different players and opponents. In the afternoon game, Wei-Yin Chen starts against the Rays.

Neither the home nor the away Orioles had much luck against the Tigers to open up the Grapefruit League season. Today, the Orioles will get a couple of shots at divisional opponents in split squad action. The afternoon game is on the road in Port Charlotte against the Rays.

Making the trip for the O's are a bunch of what Dan Duquette would probably label "qualified major leaguers" in the sense that they have been in the majors but most don't figure to be everyday players here. Someone has to go on the road in spring training, and you can get in trouble if you send too many non-major leaguers. These are the road warriors.

The afternoon contest is listed as being on MLB.com radio. This appears to be a different creature than MLB Gameday Audio and I am not sure what it is. We can find out together! Maybe it even means that anyone who wants to can tune in for free online, although since this is MLB we're talking about, the odds of that seem to be on the slim side.
