Orioles spring training game thread: vs. Pirates, 7:05

The regular season is now just five days away, so here's hoping the Orioles come out looking like they're ready in a prime time spring game.

Reinhold Matay-USA TODAY Sports

For tonight, at least, there is Orioles baseball at a standard civilized time. The game will be broadcast on television and on the radio as well in Baltimore. It will feature the O's Opening Day starter and much of the regular lineup. We're still a bit less than a week away from real baseball, but as far as fake baseball goes, this is as close to the real thing as you're going to get. For those outside of the MASN territory, the game will even be broadcast on MLB Network.

How do you like seeing Nolan Reimold batting leadoff? Look, we all know I'm among the world's biggest Reimold fans, so you probably don't like it as much as me, but bear with me. It keeps Young out of the field, and he's faster than he looks and isn't averse to taking a walk. As far as Orioles leadoff candidates go, that's good enough for me.
