Orioles Game 15 Thread: at Blue Jays, 7:07pm Eastern

There may be fisticuffs as the Orioles play the Blue Jays on Wednesday night. Here's hoping that calmer minds prevail in the end.

There may be blood. You've probably heard about the stage being set in Tuesday's name for potential trouble later in the series or in the year. Now, on top of that, it turns out that Jose Bautista hurt his shoulder while attempting to throw Delmon Young out at first base on a routine single in a nine run game.

Of course, if Bautista chose that moment to attempt to show off because he was still angry about the Jason Garcia pitch behind his back, for which he already evened the score by taking a geological era to round the bases following a colossal home run, he has only himself to blame for that action. The Blue Jays clubhouse may not see it that way, however, and could come into the game feeling aggrieved.

The potential for trouble is already written into the starting lineup even without the presence of Bautista. Tonight's Orioles starter is Ubaldo Jimenez, who as fate would have it was ejected from his most recent start because an umpire apparently unfamiliar with his career deemed that a pitch that hit a Red Sox batter was intentional. Blue Jays starter Aaron Sanchez has also not demonstrated a ton of control in his minor league career.

One can always hope that peace and reasonable minds will prevail, but as the people of Europe learned a bit over a century ago, once the armies start to mobilize, conflict will occur almost of its own accord.
