A couple of days ago, the Orioles were in second place in the AL East and now they're in last. Granted, they're only a game farther behind first place than they were a couple of days ago, but it still feels pretty crappy, and the lineup being trotted out today isn't going to make you feel any better, especially since the Blue Jays starter is Drew Hutchison, who probably owes his continuing MLB career to the Orioles being terrible against him when it's he who is terrible against everyone else.
Oh, and is that Jimmy Paredes playing second base? Yes, it is. He has not done so in a professional game since May 2013. This is not done on a whim but rather out of desperation: Ryan Flaherty tweaked his groin running from first to second at the end of last night's game and he will probably miss a couple of games. The Orioles are kind of out of other infielders. Hopefully there's no mid-game injury tonight or things are going to get really interesting, and not in a good way.
The Orioles have lost three straight. They never lost more than four in a row all of last year. There's no such thing as a must-win game in April, but every game is nice for them to win.
