Two washouts put a damper on events in the minors on Saturday, but two other games were able to go on as scheduled.

Charlotte vs. Norfolk (PPD, Rain)

Bowie 3 Akron (Cleveland) 7

Tim Berry's poor start to the season continued with a shellacking on Saturday night. 7 ER allowed over 4.1 IP. He allowed 10 hits in the process, with 5 of those being doubles. He has now allowed 19 ER and 28 H over just 18 IP this season, with an 11:12 K:BB ratio. oof.

No much to speak of on the offensive ledger. Mike Yaz and Sean Halton each had two hit games. And the lineup drew 5 walks. But 1 for 8 with RISP and 8 LOB dashed any real hopes of staying competitive in this affair.

Wilmington (Royals) 3 Frederick 4

Austin Wynns it with a walk-off dinger to send the Keys to their Carolina League leading 11th victory. The Keys lineup was stymied until the 8th when they finally solved the riddle of the Blue Rocks bullpen. Johnny Ruetigger started a two-out rally with a bunt single. After a pitching change Adrian Marin drew a walk, and then Drew Dosch slashed a triple into LF. Trey Mancini would then tack on the game tying run with a single which drove in Dosch.

Marin and Dosch have paced the offensive the past few games, with the former on a 7 for 19 pace over the past 5 games, and the latter on a 15 for 31 clip since his 0-4, 4K performance 10 games ago. Them Keys be shakin'.
