Orioles spring training game thread: vs. Braves, 6:05

Ubaldo Jimenez and Shelby Miller are the starting pitchers in the penultimate spring training game for the Orioles and Braves.

There are no pixels to grace our screens about Nick Markakis today. He hasn't made the trip to Sarasota as the Braves come for one in the O's home park after the two teams played yesterday. They'll play again tomorrow, a little series-like set of games to wrap up spring. This is the penultimate game of the Grapefruit League for the O's, and thank goodness that it's almost over.

First pitch tonight will be taking place about 69 hours before the first pitch of the first regular season Orioles game. By the time the game ends we'll be down to about 66 hours. You're getting pretty close when you're down to double-digit hours.

Being as the season is now just two games away, here's hoping they can start to look like a major league team. This game will feel like a real game as it will be on both MASN and 105.7 FM in the Baltimore area. If you're out of the market you will also be able to watch on MLB Network. It doesn't quite start at the civilized baseball time, but it's close, and that counts for something.
