One day into the season and the Orioles roster already looks different than it did yesterday. Chris Davis is back from his suspension. Whether he'll be back from batting below the Mendoza Line is a question that won't be answered tonight, although if he goes ahead and hits a couple of homers that would be pretty awesome.
Rays starter Nate Karns struck out a total of 515 batters in 449.1 minor league innings. He's only pitched 24 innings in the big leagues, but he's also struck out 24 batters in that time. It might get a little windy in the Trop tonight, is all I'm trying to say. While we're working with small sample sizes, Karns has given up eight homers in those 24 innings, and also hit three batters.
Of course, none of that may end up having any impact on what happens tonight. Maybe it'll be another awesome game.
