Orioles Game 3 Thread: at Rays, 7:10pm

The Orioles go for the sweep of the Rays on Wednesday night. Can they pull it off? Join us for the highs and the lows of another night in MLB.

Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

So far, so good in the 2015 season. The Orioles are undefeated, although yesterday's game was far more interesting than it needed to be. Wei-Yin Chen wasn't exactly sharp and Kevin Gausman had a bit of a rough appearance from the bullpen. Now the Orioles go for the sweep of the Rays.

They aren't very good at sweeping, or at least they haven't been in recent years. Sometimes they do. Sometimes it feels like they've decided, well, we already won two games, so who cares about the third. This isn't a lineup that screams forfeit. Actually, there won't be many such lineups all year since the only bench player who doesn't figure to get a lot of action is the backup catcher - in action tonight, as it turns out, Ryan Lavarnway, giving us back-to-back Ryans in the bottom third of the order.

And now I'd like to hand the microphone over to Jim Palmer, who never gave up a grand slam:

God bless Twitter.
