The Orioles Game 27 game thread: at Yankees, 7:05

The Orioles are back in action on Friday night looking to snap this losing streak and pull themselves a bit closer to .500. They'll send Miguel Gonzalez to the mound, with Adam Warren pitching for the Yankees.

Finally, a real second baseman is back in the lineup - not that any of the Orioles' previous substitute second basemen did too bad for themselves. In fact, the team's problem right now is mostly the offense either not getting opportunities or not making the most of them.

Can they break out of that situation tonight against Adam Warren? I don't know. There is nothing that screams intimidation like Delmon Young as your cleanup hitter. That was sarcasm just there. It's not very intimidating at all. Maybe it will work out. Maybe Chris Davis will only strike out two times instead of four times. We can dream.

It'll be good if the Orioles can actually get a lead while the starting pitchers are in the game, and keep that lead, because as we saw last night, the back end of the Yankees bullpen is just a bit ridiculous.
