The Monday night Orioles game thread: vs. Phillies, 7:05pm

The Phillies have lost six straight. The Orioles have won six out of seven. On paper, this game ought to have only one outcome. Let's hope Chris Tillman and the hitters help to make sure of that.

Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

The Phillies are a disaster area and the Orioles ought to destroy them, but are you aware that the starting pitchers of the next three games are Aaron Harang, Jerome "Jeremy" Williams, and Kevin Correia? All I'm saying is don't be surprised if the Orioles manage to somehow score only four runs in the next three games combined. If ever there was a trio that would mysteriously shut down this team after a hot streak, that's the trio that would do it, Phillies offense or not.

The Phillies might be in last place and going nowhere but they are still a major league team and the O's will need to perform reasonably well to take three out of four games, which they really ought to do if they know what's good for them.
