Columbus (Cleveland) 2 Norfolk 4
Lefties getting in work day for the Tides as Chris Jones, Wesley Wright, and T.J. McFarland combined to K 7 over 8 innings of work while allowing just 2 ER. The offense did just enough, with Sean Halton (who figures to see a bump in playing time now that Riemold and Parmalee are up with the big club) went 3 for 4 with an RBI and a SB. Christian Walker reached twice, once via HBP and once via walk. Dariel Alvarez took and 0 for 4. Steve Clevenger singled, walked and sac fly'd.

Kevin Gausman gave up a long home run to center on his first pitch of the night, but was otherwise solid in a tune-up start prior to likely being recalled to start in Toronto on Saturday. He pitched 2 innings, allowing just that 1 hit and run while K'ing 2.

5 errors did no favors for the staff tonight. Chance Sisco had two of those (interference, and a bad throw), as did Tucker Nathans. But at least he went 3 for 4 at the plate. Gregory Lorenzo also at least somewhat made up for his error with an outfield assist.
