For a couple of games at least, it's time for the silliness of National League rules. Ubaldo Jimenez will be batting tonight. I, for one, can't wait. Oh, wait, yes I can. The National League is stupid. Anyone who acts like those rules are superior baseball is deluded and they are not to be trusted. That's all there is to it.
The Orioles will be without Adam Jones for another night. That didn't stop them from ripping off 19 runs last night, of course, but when you start to see quotes like this show up, you do have to worry just a little bit:
Jones on his assortment of injuries: "I’m going to have some good stories to tell my grand kids and my kids when I’m limping." #orioles

Jones was probably joking around... probably, but he does take a lot of dings over the course of a season and he's going to need some nights off. Playing one of the worst teams in baseball is a pretty good opportunity for him to take one. But the Orioles still need to win against these sad sacks without him.
