Norfolk Tides 6, Charlotte Knights 3
Mike Wright had a pretty okay night. The big righty struck out eight in 6.2 innings and allowed two earned runs. The Tides took advantage of former brother in arms Miguel Chalas to the tune of three earned runs in an innings pitched. Henry Urrutia and Steve Clevenger each singled three times. Clevenger also walked. AAA Home Run Derby champ Dariel Alvarez doubled, drove in a run and scored twice. Christian Walker went hitless.
Bowie Baysox 1, Harrisburg Senators 4 (11)

Elih Villanueva frustrated Senators hitters for eight innings before yielding to the bullpen. In addition to allowing five baserunners and three earned runs in the eleventh, Ashur Tolliver also committed an error on a pickoff. Three other Baysox were charged with errors and they were 0-8 with RISP on the evening so it's hard to lay anything at Tolliver's feet. Trey Mancini's bat was oddly silent on this day.
Frederick Keys 8, Wilmington Blue Rocks 4
The bottom of the lineup was responsible for five of the Keys eight runs. One Mr. Tad Gold drove in two of those runs, stole a base and threw out a baserunner from the outfield. Gold has been on base in each of the seven games he's played this season and has driven in seven runs in his last three. Mitch Horacek struck out five and picked up the win.
Delmarva Shorebirds 4, Lexington Legends 7
The Shorebirds managed to make things interesting in the bottom of the ninth, but Mike Burke's horror show appearance in the top of the inning ultimately doomed the boys from 'bury. Making his ninth start, Josh Walker conitnues to burnish his credentials as a certified worm killer. Walker induced nine groundouts against three through the air. With a grand slam in the ninth, Yermin Mercedes now has fourteen extra base hits in 27 games with the Shorebirds (,542 SLG).
Aberdeen Ironbirds 3, Hudson Valley Renegades 6
Tonight marked only the third time in twelve games that D.J. Stewart has been kept off base. Let's see it doesn't happen again! Really, neither the pitching, nor the offense seemed to rise to the occasion on this day. Cedric Mullins singled, walked and stole a base.
