Norfolk Tides 11, Durham Bulls 1

The Tides ran roughshod over a rehabbing Drew Smyly. The Rays lefty was lit up for four runs in 2.1 innings. Notably, Christian Walker hit a two run homer off of Smyly in the first. If you're keeping count, that's five homers and fifteen ribeyes in his last ten games. Although Dariel Alvarez had been a tad cold of late, he also hit a two run bomb today. Mike Wright allowed an earned run in six innings and struck out seven.

Bowie Baysox 10, Harrisburg Senators 3

Corban Joseph, have a day! The younger Joseph was perfect at the plate with two homers, a triple, a walk and a single. Joseph's colleagues were also productive as all starters reached base at least once. Parker Bridwell allowed three unearned runs to score and gave up a homer.

Frederick Keys 4, Winston Salem Dash 6

Mitch Horacek had a quality start as far as those things go, but allowed four hits and three walks. Horacek struck out four batters. Bowie native Jeff Kemp went 4-5. Tad Gold doubled.

Delmarva Shorebirds 4, Augusta GreenJackets 5 (10)

The Shorebirds came back in the ninth only to lose it in the 10th. Elier Leyva hit what should have been a go ahead homer in the ninth, but was ruled to have not touched home to end the inning. Ain't that a kick in the head? His countryman Dariel Delgado made a solid start striking out four in five innings. Delgado allowed two earned runs.

Aberdeen Ironbirds 4, Williamsport Crosscutters 2

Scott allowed an earned run in two innings. Starter Zach Albin held the Crosscutters scoreless over five innings and Jay Flaa struck out three in two scoreless innings to close things out. D.J. Stewart drew a walk while Kirvin Moesquit had an eventful day. The young shortstop singled twice, stole a base and was charged with two errors.
