Richmond (Giants) 9, Bowie 1
The Baysox were only slightly less inept than the O's yesterday, generating 3 hits and 3 walks vs. 8 Ks. Starter Gene Escat walked 4 over 3 innings and allowed 3 ER. Marcel Prado walked 3 and coughed up 5 ER in his 1.1 innings of "relief". Glynn Davis walked twice and scored via a Trey Mancini RBI single.
Lynchburg (Cleveland) 2, Frederick 10
Chance Sisco, Wynston Swayer, and Coner Bierfeldt each went 3-for-4, and combined to drive in 8 of the 10 runs for the Keys. Sisco hit his 4th dinger of the season in the 8th, a solo shot. Sawyer and Bierfeldt each doubled twice. O's organizational strikeout leader, Mitch Horacek whiffed 6 over 5 and a 1/3rd innings of work. Garrett Cortright added another 1.2 innings of scoreless work to extend his blemish-free streak to 22 appearances and 33.2 innings of work. (Though he has allowed 4 unearned runs in that span.)
Delmarva 2, West Virginia (Pirates) 5
Yermin Mercedes went 3-for-4 and connected for his 7th home run of the season, but otherwise the Shorebirds were held in check. Jomar Reyes took an 0-for-4 on the night. Josh Walker K'd 5 over 5 IP but allowed 3 ER in the process.
Aberdeen 3, West Virginia (Pirates) 1
Lazaro Leyva worked 3 innings, allowing 2 hits and 1 ER while K'ing 1 and walking none. NYPL All-Star (SS) Ricardo Andujar went 2-for-5, but also K'd twice and committed an error. D.J. Stewart went 1-for-5 with a K.
