Bowie 5, New Britain (Rockies) 2
Chance Sisco continues to tear through AA pitching, going 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, and 2 RBI in this game. In 9 games since his promotion he's slashed a mere .343/.439 /.486 with a 7-to-6 K to BB ratio. He doesn't turn 21 until next February. Have a drink on me then, kiddo.
Sisco's competition for O's Minor League Player of the Year, Trey Mancini, went 1-for-3 with a walk and a ribby. Over 69 (nice) games with the Baysox he has slashed .350/.383/.555. Goodness gracious.
Mike Yaz went 2-for-4 with a double. And Glynn Davis went 0-for-2, but walked twice and stole 2B twice, good for 22 steals in 33 attempts on the season.
Nick Additon K'd 6 over 7 IP while limiting the Rock Cats to 3 hits and 1 walk. He outdueled former Blue Jays hot-shot prospect, and one-time apple of O's fans' eyes during the Duq'-to-Toronto off-season drama, Jeff Hoffman. LHP Ashur Tolliver should be in the mix for the O's pen in '16. The 27 year old has posted a 2.92 ERA over 52.1 IP while punching out 55 hitters on the season.
Frederick vs. Potomac (Nats) : PPD (Rain)
Aberdeen 4, Staten Island (Mets) 3 (12 innings)
D.J. Stewart came through with a 12th inning Sac Fly to give Cal's team a win on his 55th birthday. Stewart was 1-for-4 with 1 RBI on the night in total. Following his first A-ball level dinger yesterday, Ryan Mountcastle had his first multi-hit game at the level here. 2-for-5 for him; though he also got caught stealing.
LHP Travis Seabrooke scattered 10 hits over 4 IP, leading to 3 ER. The 6'6" 19 year old was able to limit the damage thanks to 4 Ks and a 6:0 groundout to flyout ratio; though somehow he failed to induce any GIDPs. He's an arm to watch heading into '16.
