Mike Yastrzemski and Bowie provide the only offensive highlights on the farm as Norfolk and Frederick get shutout.

Norfolk 0 Gwinnett (Atlanta) 2

Norfolk's hitters were held to just 2 hits, as they failed to support a strong pitching effort by Mike Belfiore. The lefty went 7.2 innings, allowing just 6 hits and no walks. Both runs were charged to him, though one was unearned. Christian Walker hit a single. Nolan Riemold drew the Tides' only walk of the game.

Bowie 6 Reading (Phillies) 2

Mike Yastrzemski had himself a game, going 4 for 4 with a 1st inning 2-run HR and a HBP. Trey Mancini went 1 for 3 with a double, a walk, an RBI and a run scored. Chance Sisco drew two walks. Glynn Davis and Corban Joseph each added doubles as well. Starter Nick Additon allowed two runs over 4.2 IP, but the 'pen covered the final 4.1 frames with aplomb, allowing no hits, just one walk, and striking out 4.

Frederick 0 Winston-Salem (White Sox) 4

Unlike their Triple-A brethern, the Keys at least made somewhat of a go at scoring a run. They notched just 3 hits, but did draw 5 walks. (LF) Jay Gonzalez earned one of each, though he also erased himself from the bases by getting thrown out trying to steal 3B. Josh Walker was solid over 6 IP. He allowed 6 hits, but walked none and K'd 4. Two of the three runs he allowed were unearned.

Hickory (Rangers) 0 Delmarva 3

(RHP) Lucas Long ('14 24th Rd pick) K'd 6, walked none, and allowed just 3 hits over 4 strong innings. The Jomar Reyes-less offense was balanced, with each of the 1st 5 hitters getting 1 basehit.

Aberdeen 2 Brooklyn (Mets) 10

(LHP) Travis Seabrooke served up 6 hits and 4 ER over just 3.2 IP. (LHP) Elias Pinelas outdid that line by coughing up 7 hits and 6 ER in just 1.2 IP. Garrett Cleavinger continues to shine in the 'pen. He K'd the side in his perfect one inning of work. Cedric Mullins went 1 for 3 with a walk as the lead off hitter. D.J. Stewart hit a double and drew a walk in his 4 PAs. Ryan Mountcastle took an 0 for 4 with 1 K on the night.
